Penfolds Bin 8 is the perfect balance of fruit flavours and soft oak to create a silky smooth red wine. The Bin 8 Cabernet Shiraz was released in 2003 and instantly caught the eye of the international wine media. The Bin names are received from its original binning location after bottling. The Bin 8, however, was given the number 8 due to its use of older oak binning used for Bin 128, Bin 28, and Bin 389 - with ‘8’ being the common number.
