Laurent Perrier Siecle Grand Champagne
A beautiful bottle for a beautiful champagne makes this a wonderful gift idea. Going well beyond rare vintages, Grand Siècle is created choosing not one but three exceptional years which complement each other perfectly. The Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle ages in the cellars for eight years before it is ready to be savoured. Laurent-Perrier describe the process behind the Grand Siècle as a ‘pursuit of excellence in Champagne; to blend the best with the best to obtain the best’ and it is no idle pursuit. This is a truly prestigious Champagne.
This Grand Siècle from Laurent-Perrier is a blend of Pinot Noir (45%) and Chardonnay (55%), assembled from 11 of the Champagne region’s 17 Grand Cru plots, delivering a complex but delicate wine. Enjoy it to simply mark an occasion, or it also matches well with food, particularly seafood.
About the Brand
Laurent-Perrier is one of the few Champagne house which are still family owned. Bernard's two daughters now oversee the running of the business, carrying on the work that Bernard did to produce one of the best Champagne brands.
Laurent-Perrier was founded in 1812 by André Michel but it was his cellar master Eugene Laurent, who ran it with his wife, Mathilde Emilie Perrier. After Eugene's death in 1887, Mathilde combined the two names and Laurent-Perrier was born.
