Bruichladdich Octomore 10 Whisky - Second Limited Edition
Described by the distillers as being "a dram for the connoisseur and the enlightened student of peat", Octomore 10 was distilled from the world's most heavily peated barley. It was aged for 10 years before bottling and Bruichladdich says the nose offers "a compendium of flavour combinations"... Need we say more?
About the Brand
Classic Bruichladdich whiskies prove the traditional whisky regions of Scotland make no sense. Please don't think that labelling a whisky "Islay" has anything to do with taste. The truth is far more complicated and interesting.More Information

Nose: Rum and raisin ice-cream and huge notes of gin botanicals. Hints of smoked almonds and honey develop with candied lemon, tropical fruit and huge oily peat smoke.
Palate: Sweet, creamy palate entry, quickly backed up by a coastal explosion of peat smoke and spice. Chipotle chilli, caramel and toasted barley. Very oily and rich.
Finish: Long, spiced finish with hints of saffron on the tail.
