Since Notting Hill Carnival debuted in 1964, the event has undoubtedly grown and morphed, attracting ever more revellers with its spectacle of floats featuring calypso, mas and pan bands as well as a series of sound systems for alfresco dancing.
Expect a sea of colour as amazing floats and costumed performers wind their way through the streets of London. BUT for those who can’t make it over to West London for the celebrations, why not celebrate carnival style at home with these colourful sips:
Mock Martinis and Cosmos
Blend coconut vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and ice in a cocktail shaker, strain into a martini glass and perch a lime wheel on the side for a Caribbean Cosmo. Muddle some Kaffir lime leaves with sugar in the bottom of a cocktail shaker, add a shot of coconut vodka, lime juice and ice, shake and strain into a sugar-rimmed martini glass for a tart cocktail. An eye-catching azure coloured Tahitian martini is a combination of coconut vodka, pineapple juice and blue Curacao.

Get a cocktail jug. Mix together Caribbean twist mango and Caribbean twist Pineapple, adding 2 or 4 shots of Chase Vodka depending on how strong you want your cocktails, then adding some fresh Tropical juice to add some flavour, then top up your jug with Lemonade. Voila!
Start with a highball glass and fill it with ice. Add 1 1/2 oz of Belvedere Pure Vodka and 1/2 oz of Blue Curacao. Fill the rest of the glass with your choice of Pineapple Juice or Lemonade.
