Drinks 21 are delighted that the fantastic Three Fingers Distillery’s Blue Bottle Gin has scooped a prestigious gold award in the ultra premium category of the The Spirits Business’ 2016 Gin Masters!

Its heady mix of botanicals, juniper, nutmeg and cubeb pepper proved popular with judges and despite heavy competition in the category, Guernsey’s exclusive Blue Bottle Gin was awarded the accolade.

A blog from The Spirits Business’ website explains more about how the awards are decided:

“As is the case for all Global Spirits Masters events, gins are tasted blind in flights and assessed on appearance, nose, palate and overall balance before being awarded Silver, Gold or Master medals based on stand-alone performance.”

The panel of judges were hugely impressed with the quality and variety in the ultra premium category, which received a total of 12 awards.

“Ultra Premium stood out for me in terms of variety and flavour,” added Katie Rouse (Brand Ambassador, Crushed & Cubed). “The botanicals the producers are using at the moment show that they are really trying to shake things up. It shows in every category, but Ultra Premium got it right.”

No stranger to an award, Blue Bottle Gin has previously received a gold medal at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2015.
